Lattin Tidy Towns was established in 2012 and it has entered the Tidy Towns
Competition every year since. Marks awarded in 2012 were 263 and we have come
up the marks over the years to score 353 marks in the 2025 competition.Numerous
improvements have been completed since 2012 with new footpaths, pedestrian
crossing, flower beds, signage for roads and the River Ara and Tumulus, street
furniture, refurbishment of a phone box, painting etc. There is a renewed pride in the
parish with the completion and maintenance of these works. There is a very good
Tennis Club and GAA Club in the village. All this fosters a great sense of community
in the village which has a population of approx. 100 and our volunteers strive to
continue with improvements each year.
